The mission of the Special Teams is to offer hands-on services to communities and families in need, to partner with existing organizations on worthwhile social, civic and charitable programs, to provide assistance at Miami Dolphins Foundation events, and to support community efforts in times of emergency”

November 5-6, 2011 - Dolphins Cycling Challenge: The Miami Dolphins Special Teams Driven by Chevy volunteers helped out with the 2nd annual Dolphins Cycling Challenge which raised $1,070,000 for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center this year. This was a two day event were over 700 bikers including staff, players, alumni and Dol-Fans rode to fight cancer one mile at a time. This event relies heavily on the involvement of hundreds of committed volunteers.
November 19, 2011 - National Family Volunteer Day at Zoo Miami: The Miami Dolphins Special Teams Driven by Chevy Volunteers and Miami Zoo teamed up and invited families to come out and help beautify the very popular Miami Zoo. They helped with painting, mulching, planting and of course they were allowed free entry to the zoo after their hard work.
January 16, 2012 - Martin Luther King Day of Service at Northwest Boys and Girls Club: On Monday, January 16, 2012 the Miami Dolphins Special Teams Driven by Chevy program answered the call by beautifying the Northwest Boys and Girls Club of Miami in celebration of Martin Luther King Day. Beautification projects will include painting, re-decorating and remodeling the butterfly garden. On this day Special Teams volunteers can look proudly and say they are making a difference for the children in our community.
April 2012 - Special Teams Day of Service Special Teams Day of Service: In honor of our two years since inception, the Miami Dolphins Special Teams Driven by Chevy program will be hosting Feeding Children Everywhere which is a nonprofit company that brings meals to children all over the world. We will be assembling 25,000 meals on this day.

For that we are forever thankful, so one day out of the year we like to celebrate your commitment to our program known as our Special Teams Volunteer Appreciation Day. This is a celebration no one wants to miss, make sure to get out and volunteer beforehand so that you too can come and be part of a this night to remember.
